Chemical Specialist

Control the chemicals on footwear manufacturing & material testing from all stages, following KSGB standards to ensure the quality of products as well as meeting with global requirement for shoe market for chemical. Able to define to problem and recommend the solution to resolve.

1) Set up RSL policy & implement for all factories (China & Vietnam)

2) Control RSL, CPSIA & GB test compliance

3) Factory lab control including updating the KSGB lab standard policy.

4) Bonding process control including setting & monitoring the bonding operation standard to ensure KSGB quality standard

5) Adhesive control at stitching, stockfit & assembly process

6) Establish & maintain the best chemical practices for compounds of RB, EVA, PU & Plastic including regular check

7) Perform the physical test of bottom, need knowledge of processing of bottom material like EVA/PU/RB/Cements.

8) New sole vendor approval.

9) Coordinate for annual factory audit.

• BA degree in a related field strongly preferred, advanced degree appreciated.

• Technical & chemical background in shoe construction is requirement.

• 3+ year experience on footwear manufacturing.

• Advanced skills and experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• The ability to communicate to perform in English: verbal, written and comprehension.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Well organized with good relationship with vendors/ suppliers.

• Able to define the problem and recommend solution to resolve it.
