Job description: Power System Analyst and Renewable Energy Analyst

In this role, you will be in-charge of respective technical issues of VIET. You will directly participate in our studies and projects and provide expertise relating to your professional area. Thus, you will need to possess sound knowledge of renewable energy and power market. You will also need to have good understanding on renewable energy incentives and opportunities for innovation. The position is based in Hanoi. Term of contract is 12 months full time after 2 months’ probation period, with a possible extension depending on results. The position is available immediately. The selection process is competitive.

For Communication Specialist:

• Master Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Brand Management, Marketing or similar field; 

• Perfect English and Vietnamese;

• Ability to multi-task and self-manage;

• An inquisitive journalism spirit, unafraid to ask questions;

• Familiarity with WordPress, Photoshop, online and desktop productivity suites;

• Experience in Vietnam communication culture is required;

• Experience in energy sector is preferred;

• Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus.

For Renewable Energy Analyst:

• Master Degree in energy, environmental science, policy, or related field;

• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across global teams;

• Self-management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities;

• Experience establishing metrics, analyzing data and developing dashboards and reporting; 

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast- paced environments; 

• An interest in sustainability, climate change mitigation, and environmental responsibility and an understanding of the various stakeholders, concerns, and  impacts related to this discipline; 

• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

For Power System Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering +10 years experience, preferably in electrical or electromechanical engineering. Master's or Ph.D. in a related field is an asset. 

• First experience with activities related to the development and the operation of electricity networks and power plants. Experience with HVDC projects is a plus. 

• Profound knowledge in power system computations (in both static and dynamic conditions), modeling and state estimation is an asset. Experience with performing long term network development studies is a plus. 

• Practical knowledge of specific computing tools.

• Good knowledge of English

• Creative and entrepreneurial, innovative and proactive, client-oriented and result driven 

• Very good team-spirit and well organized, stress resistant and able to work with deadlines 

• Analytical and abstract reasoning

• Mobility and flexibility, willing to travel abroad for international assignments depending on the development or study needs.

• Work in an international environment.
