Optical Network (Kỹ sư truyền dẫn)

• Design and implement Long-Haul and backbone DWDM networks.
• Work with carriers to ensure that connectivity, bandwidth, and diversity requirements are met.
• Create and maintain network design standards and network topology diagrams.
• Review and implement changes to existing DWDM and SONET networks to improve resiliency and meet connectivity and capacity demands.
• Partner with carrier provisioning and network operations teams to ensure the success of new deployments. Ensure that operational feedback is incorporated into network designs.
• Identify gaps in current designs and propose appropriate solutions based on technical and business drivers.
• Provide support for audit and ad-hoc consulting engagements.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualification 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Telecomunication 
• At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting optical transport networks
• Optical Communication Consultant certification
• 3 years of experience with network capacity planning

Experience Requirements

• A thorough understanding of optical networking technologies, including DWDM and SONET.  
• Extensive experience designing physical infrastructure including conduit layouts, point of entry for carrier access, fiber path diversity, and carrier hand-off.
• Experience with optical planning & modeling tools.
• Knowledge of the G.709 protocol.
• Ability to lead the design, configuration, and support of circuit connectivity on carrier rings.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting optical transport networks using systems from vendors such as Ciena, Infinera, Coriants, …
• Have working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals. Knowledge of both L2 switching and L3 routing is desirable.
• Excellent analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project- and time-management skills with a successful track record of troubleshooting complex problems and delivering timely solutions.
• The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
