Project Manager

The Job:

As Project Manager in SmartBuddy your role is to lead and grow the team's daily activities and coordinate on strategic questions with CEO and company board. Entering an exciting phase in SmartBuddy's development the role of the Project Manager is to coordinate on weekly targets and projects and ensure they are following the set timeline within budget and delivering at required quality. Overseeing ongoing projects within marketing, sales, content development, market research and technical development together with each ranks team leader setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, continuously monitor the progress and summarize progress reports to the CEO and team leaders for evaluation. Most important the task is to motivate people as they are the foundation of our company!

The role is both of strategic and operational nature which requires an entrepreneurial mindset signified by a "never quit" attitude. The Project Manager will work directly with Upper management and on a day-to-day basis with the CEO of SmartBuddy.

Required experience include minimum Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years of work experience. Previous experience from the insurance industry or in a start-up environment is encouraged but not a requirement. Familiar with a variety of business areas , practices and procedures. Can rely and execute on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Will report to the CEO of SmartBuddy. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

• Ensure resource availability and allocation

• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

• Report and escalate to management as needed

• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

• Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

• Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with other staff members

• Use and continually develop leadership skills

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Requirements:

• Proven working experience in project management

• Excellent internal communication skills (Fluent in English and Vietnamese)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Fluent in English and Vietnamese)

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Project Management certification or leadership courses is a plus

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study
