Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Expert to oversee and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of accounting operations. The successful candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Financial Control

Review and verify accounting entries related to company and customer cash accounts, as well as payment transactions arising from business operations.

Examine payment documents and supporting evidence to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Guide and support departments in processing payment requests and accounting matters.

Review accounting reports prepared by team members and ensure data accuracy.

Participate in developing and improving payment and accounting processes.

Monitor revenues and expenditures against approved budgets.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare financial statements and management reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Submit reports to management and regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable regulations.

Reconcile account balances and investigate accounting discrepancies.

Verify customer balances and outstanding receivables/payables.

Collaborate with the Chief Accountant during audits, tax inspections, and regulatory reviews by providing required documentation and explanations.

Provide professional accounting advice and recommendations to management regarding accounting treatments and financial matters.

Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement

Coordinate with business units to resolve customer issues related to financial transactions.

Stay updated on changes in accounting, tax, and financial regulations and communicate relevant updates across the organization.

Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and service quality standards.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Professional certifications in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Securities are preferred.

Experience

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance within banks, financial institutions, securities companies, or large corporations.

Strong experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.

Experience working with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies is preferred.

Technical Competencies

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.

Financial Reporting (Advanced Level).

Taxation and Tax Accounting.

Financial Analysis and Business Finance.

Operational Process and Systems Management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting/ERP systems.

Language Skills

Good command of English, both written and spoken.
