A vital aspect of VJU's mission is enhancing Vietnam’s higher education system and strengthening Vietnam-Japan cooperation. 

Looking forward to 2030, VJU is set to become a leading research-oriented university in Asia. It aims to specialize in advanced technology and interdisciplinary science, drawing upon the unique strengths and cooperation of Vietnam and Japan. The heart of VJU's educational philosophy is the integration of liberal arts with sustainability, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful approach to education. 

Academic Programs: Reflecting its commitment to interdisciplinary and innovative education, VJU offers a wide array of academic programs. This includes eight master's programs in diverse fields such as Public Policy, Nanotechnology, Area Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Climate Change and Development, and Global Leadership. 

Moreover, VJU has expanded its offerings to six undergraduate programs, catering to a broad range of interests and industry demands. These programs include Japanese Studies, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Smart Agriculture and Sustainability, Food Technology and Health, and Intelligent Mechatronics and Japanese Production. Each program is designed to bridge the gap between social and natural sciences, all within the framework of sustainability science, reflecting VJU’s commitment to addressing global challenges through education and research.
