We are looking for a Product Monetization Middle / Senior to own and grow revenue across our portfolio of ad-supported mobile apps. Our apps run on an IAA-led hybrid model — roughly 70–80% of revenue from in-app advertising (IAA) and 20–30% from in-app purchases / subscriptions (IAP).
You will be the owner of our ad monetization logic end-to-end: ad placement and frequency rules, ad-flow and ad-serving scripts, mediation and waterfall / in-app bidding setup, and continuous A/B testing — maximizing eCPM, ARPDAU and LTV while protecting user experience and retention. This is a hands-on, data-driven role working closely with Product, User Acquisition, and Development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ad Monetization Logic & Optimization (IAA — primary, 70–80% of revenue)
• Own the in-app ads logic across the app portfolio: ad placement, triggering rules, frequency capping, and ad-flow / “user journey with ads” for interstitial, rewarded, banner, native and app-open formats — balancing revenue against user experience and retention.
• Design, build and maintain ad scripts and ad configurations (e.g., Google Apps Script, ad-request logic, ad-unit-ID mapping in an advanced-eCPM structure), coordinating with Developers on SDK integration and ad-call implementation.
• Set up, operate and optimize ad mediation platforms (AdMob Mediation, AppLovin MAX, ironSource / Unity LevelPlay); build and tune Waterfalls and in-app bidding to maximize eCPM and fill.
• Run structured A/B tests on waterfalls, placements, formats and frequency to lift eCPM, ARPDAU, show rate and fill / match rate.
• Monitor core ad KPIs (eCPM, match / fill rate, show rate, impressions per DAU, ARPDAU, LTV); troubleshoot ad-serving issues, latency and reporting discrepancies; ensure compliance with AdMob and app-store policies.
2. Hybrid Monetization — IAP & Subscription (20–30% of revenue)
• Optimize IAP and subscription performance: pricing, packages and paywall placement, free trials, conversion rate and average transaction value.
• Design and run in-app offers / liveops and retention mechanics that lift recurring revenue without cannibalizing ad revenue.
• Balance IAA and IAP so total ARPDAU / LTV is maximized across the hybrid model.
3. Data, Ad Networks & Cross-functional Collaboration
• Track and analyze monetization performance using Firebase, Google Analytics / GA4, BigQuery / SQL and MMPs (Adjust, AppsFlyer); turn data into prioritized optimization actions.
• Manage ad-network relationships (Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Unity, AppLovin, ironSource, Mintegral, Pangle): onboard and test networks, apply best practices, test new features, and resolve fill / latency / policy issues.
• Partner with Product Owners, UA, Developers and Designers to embed monetization into product flow and analyze App Flow for the best ad placements and IAP positions.
• Conduct competitor and market research to identify new revenue streams and benchmark monetization strategy.
• 1–3 years in mobile app monetization, with a focus on in-app advertising (IAA) in a hybrid (ads + IAP / subscription) model.
• Hands-on experience with ad mediation platforms (AdMob Mediation, AppLovin MAX, ironSource) and waterfall / in-app bidding setup to optimize eCPM.
• Solid understanding of ad logic, ad placement and ad formats (interstitial, rewarded, banner, native, app-open) and the revenue-vs-UX trade-off.
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Firebase, Google Analytics / GA4) and MMPs (Adjust, AppsFlyer); data-driven decision making.
• Bachelor’s or College degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Mathematics / Economics, or a related field.
• Signing bonus equivalent to one month’s salary for successful candidates.
• Attractive salary range: 25,000,000 – 50,000,000 VND (negotiable based on experience).
